World Wide Gourmet Foods Switches to Post-Consumer Recycled Plastic Tubs

Sustainability Update

At World Wide Gourmet Foods, we’re committed to not only making great products but also making choices that protect the world we all share. That’s why we’re transitioning the plastic tubs used for our graham products to 100% post-consumer recycled (PCR) material — and we want to share why this change matters.

Why We're Making the Switch

1. Better for the Planet
PCR plastic is made from recycled materials like milk jugs, water bottles, and other used plastics that would otherwise end up in landfills or oceans. By choosing 100% PCR, we’re reducing our environmental footprint and supporting a circular economy where materials are reused rather than discarded.

2. Same Quality, Same Protection
Our new PCR tubs maintain the same strength, safety, and food-grade protection as before — with no change to how your grahams are packaged, stored, or enjoyed. It’s the same product you love, just with a more sustainable container.

3. Supporting Retail & Consumer Expectations
Today’s shoppers care deeply about how their food is packaged. Moving to PCR aligns with the sustainability goals of many of our retail partners and responds to growing demand for eco-friendly packaging from conscious consumers.

What to Expect

  • Look & Feel: The PCR tubs may appear slightly more translucent or have a light grey tint — a small visual cue that reflects a big environmental win.
  • Labeling: Each tub will include a note highlighting the use of recycled materials.
  • Timeline: The transition is rolling out now, and all graham products will be fully converted to PCR packaging by 4th quarter 2025.

We appreciate your continued support and partnership as we take this step forward. If you have questions or need marketing materials that highlight this change, we’re happy to help.
